Verified on 9 September 2026:
- Source file preserved byte for byte.
- Mapped variant values, including leading zeros, matched the source.
- Product fields on each product's first record, with linked variant continuation records.
- Shopify development-store import created two draft products and four variants, assigned to zero sales channels.
- Export back from Shopify passed 16 comparisons for the specified fields.

Observed differences:
- Shopify wrapped descriptions in HTML and inserted line-break markup. Visible description content matched; raw HTML did not remain identical.
- Shopify supplied defaults for omitted vendor, shipping, tax, inventory and weight fields. Defaults are not supplier facts and must be agreed when relevant to a real job.

Bounded scope:
This does not establish arbitrary-format support, existing-product updates, remote image checking or guaranteed acceptance of a customer's file. A qualified sample and agreed mapping are required for each job.
